International Circulation: Professor Yan， the European guidelines on Hypertension have had and influence on the prevention and treatment of hypertension in China; is there a breakthrough or any new information in your opinion in the field of early prevention of hypertension?


   《国际循环》：严教授，欧洲高血压指南影响着中国的高血压预防和治疗；以您来看，在高血压早期预防领域是否有所突破或者有些新的信息？
 

    Professor Yan: In this meeting there are several sessions about the prevention of cardiovascular disease， especially concerning the reduction of total cardiovascular risk. The new guidelines will influence the practice in China because as we too revise our own guidelines we pay a lot of attention to the total cardiovascular risk in China. Although it is the hypertension guidelines， besides emphasizing the control of hypertension we still try to promote the concept of total cardiovascular risk reduction. In this meeting I have noticed several mention the management of hypertensive patients with diabetes risk factors such as smoking cessation， etc. In the new guidelines I think the new concept will be to promote the work of hypertension in China.
 
    严晓伟教授：本次会议中，有几个论坛是有关心血管疾病预防的，尤其是关于总体心血管风险的降低。新指南将影响中国的临床实践，因为我们也在修订我们自己的指南，在中国我们对总体心血管风险给予很多关注。尽管它是高血压指南，除强调高血压控制之外，我们还尝试推动总体心血管风险降低的概念。本次会议我注意到高血压合并糖尿病患者的管理数次提到危险因素控制如戒烟等。我认为，新指南中的新概念将推动中国高血压方面的工作。
